CGY 750, Total G and Vbar are the ones that have the governor. Every one you buy will require a receiver. The only one that won't is this upcoming Spektrum unit (assuming you fly Spektrum/JR). If anyone tells you that you don't need a receiver, they are wrong. Spektrum satellites are little self contained receivers. If you fly Futaba FASST, you can use an SBus receiver with a single cable into any of those.
I do fly spectrum now and Im not in the market for fbl unless the unit can replace my ar7100r now and also my gy520

Now from what I read on the new Spectrum fbl unit I didnt see where it says it will have a rev limiter.

This hobby sucks, when your not flying.

It doesn't. The three I listed all have governors, but you will need to add satellites.

AR7200BX
I must agree with Merlin3. This unit does work just as good as the BeastX minus all the jumper wires. Two thumbs up!

Buster1 the unit is due out mid to late November this new ar7200bx is an Ausome unit it combines the already proven micro beast x with the proven spectrum dsmx technology without having all those pesky jumper wires to deal with and with the dsmx we havnt had the need for the satalite Rec as of yet.

Ok let me get this right if I go with the new spectrum ill still need to buy a governor but will be able to get rid of my 520 gyro's.

Is so which governors use a back plate sensor on the back of the motors like the spectrum uses??

Model Avionics (revmax etc) and Multi Gov definately do work with a backplate sensoe but you have to buy the spekky one and add it in place of theirs.

Why couldnt spectrum just put a rev limiter on their new unit, I know why, so they can add it later to bring more sales in.

So what units can I add to my AR7100R RX as a 3 axis that is small and works great, and is easy to hook up and easy to set up on radio at a good price and quality.

Spektrum might consider a second offering, if they were clever.

The AR7200BX as an integrated RX/FBL controller is a good first step. It fills the bill for electrics very well, and there are a large number of nitro flyers who could still care less about having a governor/limiter in their heli. Limiters and Governors are still pretty much an optional, don't HAVE to have it item. For those who want to add one in, the MA Throttle Max is relatively small, coupled with the Spektrum backplate sensor pretty much a no-brainer installation, and very easy to set up and use. Not all that expensive, either

Were Spektrum to integrate the Model Avionics Throttle MAX into the package, it would be a great offering for the nitro world. This would give the nitro guys an RX, FBL controller, and CHOICE of limiter/governor all in one package.

Now who's going to want to see the RX, FBL controller, limiter/governor AND high-power regulator all in one convenient package that isn't the size of a small suitcase?

doesn't that describe the total-g? well, it has satellite support, but still pretty dang close for something that's already been around for over a year.

if it ain't broke, break it.
