Landing / Take Off in Auto - What do you do.

Hey Guys,

This question can be answered by ACE ONE and WooKong-S users.

How many of you guys are taking off and or landing in Auto?

Currently I take off in manual and switch to Auto shortly after lift off.

I land in auto by switching my throttle hold off immediately after landing, followed by switching to manual which also shuts down the motor.

Was wondering if anyone is doing something similar but in reverse for take off (spin up and switch to auto while still on the ground). Don't see why not, but haven't gotten up the guts to try it.

Hey Robert (DJI) do you have any in-put on this.

Thanks,
Robert

Thats funny!

Hey BarryB,

I had actually forgotten about doing a video for you demonstrating actual hold capability. That was two month ago when I said I was going to do that. Since that time I completed my trip paddling the length of the Mississippi River in a canoe. I had the final 340 miles from north of Baton Rouge, LA down the the coast left. Took an additional 11 days. Total 89 day on river.

Watch at YouTube

Recently I have been staying busy with http://CameraWings.com and working on my airplanes on rainy and cold day. The WooKong-S has allowed me to do a range of shoots that I would have never attempted other wise or have been able to do so well without.

Soon as I get some good weather, I promise to shoot that video for you.

Here is the video that convinced me to try a WooKong Scale.

Did some flying today. Here are a few of the pics at one of the sites. BarryB, a friend of mine did a hover accuracy video. He said he will try to post it tomorrow. I will post the URL when he gives it to me.

Received my Wookong-h lite last week. Its a significant savings from the $1300 wookong-h (scale). Shipped from China DJI factory for $750. Very impressed with altitude hold, stability and overall setup features.

Man you guys are tempting me. Every time I upgrade a controller something better comes out. Oh well, that's progress.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

That's it! After doing much research I am going to buy a DJI 450 with the NAZA to do some testing and get my feet wet. If that goes well (with multis) I will then push towards bigger and better

Hi DJIUSA
Yes

I just hate the limited flight distance.
We are working on building our own.
Looking at what the guys are doing now.
Want to build a larger platform.
Will it replace the Hoverfly board.
Who sells the larger aftermarket frame like Droidworx or Cinestar without the 1,100.00 to 2,000.00 price tag

Will WKM Suppot 8 motors and 3 axis gimbal.

Or are you limited to 6 motors and 2 axis gimbal.

If so what are you guys using to control 3 axis gimbal and or 8 motors with 2 axis gimbal.

Just purchased the WKS.....Will it have the 165 altitude limit from the factory?

Also if I fly with an underslung mount does it effect all the setup measurements? Do I need to set it up with the mount or without?

Thanks,
Tanner

Manual,

http://www.dji-hobby.com/en/files/W...Manual%20en.pdf

The altitude limit kicks the GPS atti mode to strictly Atti mode above 50 meters.
No limit, but will switch into Atti. Mode
automatically over 50m.
Setup DOES require all items to be installed on the helicopter.
You must re-configure if the ALL-UP WEIGHT had been changed on your helicopter
