Not necessary but it can improve cyclic performance with some FBL systems. What FBL system?

I have not run the beast on my N5c, but have run it on a number of other helis. First off, are you running the V3 on your beast? Definitely an upgrade I recommend. To me, my beast does feel a little slow on cyclic and I feel the longer swash balls on the N5c would improve this feeling on the beast. If you do not get any responses from someone who has tried it in the next few days, send me a pm I will mount a microbeast on my N5c and let you know how it feels.

I have been running my N5 with the beastx for about 18 months but I was using the RJX head as the N5 FBL head wasn't available. However I have recently switched to the N5 head. I've started with the original swash balls but haven't completed the set up yet.

When setting up, cyclic 6deg and a blue light on the beastx should be your deciding factor. Of course altering servo arm length will have the most dramatic effect on your throws.
My advice is to set it up as per the manual, get it flying, then fine tune to suit your style and the feel you like.
The beastx and the N5 is a great combo.

I have 2 N5 FBL, BOTH with the BeastX. It is an amazing system and flys very nicely. One has the 3.0 upgrade and the other does not. I have the extended balls on one and the standard balls on the other one. I honestly can't tell much difference at all. I also have the head dropped on the one with the longer balls. THIS I do think makes a difference. It rolls VERY nicely and true as the disc is closer to the frame by about a half an inch.

As far as setup, I simply follow the directions on the BeastX with only a couple differences. 1. I go to about 10Deg. instead of 6 on the cyclic. This makes the cyclic MUCH faster. 2. I use transmitter mode instead of the presets. This lets me set Expo and other features via the transmitter to my liking.

I just had a local pro (JC Zankl) fly my bird yesterday. He was tearing it up in true 3D fashion. Said it felt very good with the exception of the Expo I use. He is our resident BeastX pro as well.

I hope this helps? Please let me know if I can answer any specific questions.

I wouldn't do that. From what I understand, it's very important to set exactly 6 degrees during setup because the system uses this as a reference point.

I have run BeastX v1, v2 and v3 on my N5s and always had the standard swash balls. My cyclic is plenty fast using transmitter mode with around 110% ATVs and Rail blades.

Just got a N5 over the weekend. It was a Freidns and he has been flying BeastX for close to a year on it, and on all of his Vibes as well. Swears by it. Im sold on the simplicity of the BeastX and for my flying skills I'm sure it will be plenty for me to mess with as is. Bottom line I guess is yes.. BeastX works flawlessly on N5
