Have you contacted Brian at CYE? If there are any available he'd be able to find one. Worst case is that Brian would be able to give you an ETA on the next shipment.

Flybarless Head conversion

Hey Scotty, don't give up on this conversion yet...Heres an option for you. I did some looking and experienceRC.com has all the parts you need to make the conversion and actually its only about $15 more than the "conversion kit." But you actually end up getting 2 extra main shafts and one extra cross shaft and an extra set of links
Here are the part numbers at experiencerc.com

1. ND-YR-AS096 - Head block
2. ND-YR-AS098 - Flybarless blad grip set
3. ND-YR-AS097 - Washout arm set
4. ND-YR-AS099 - Flybarless main shaft set
5. ND-YR-AS105 - Flybarless link set
6. ND-YR-AS073 - Cross shaft set(you may alreay have this)

The only things left from the kit are main blad grip blots which you can buy a set or use the ones from your flybar head, and dampners which you can also use from you flybar head or buy new ones.

Hope this helps...You will love how this this flies flybarless...

Goodluck!!

I'm in the same boat..

Sorry but with all the issues recently on this bird and the parts shortages it's no wonder all but the very few have gone to Align.

I just bought a second Rave to replace mine which has sat dead for years after tail gear failures.. and now I'm seriously wondering if I will even bother to get it air worthy or just buy a Trex Pro instead at least their parts are all over and the gears are standing up.

Brian and CY are what I consider friends but this is business.. and unless we start getting some info on not only the parts shortages but also the splitting torque tubes and stripping gears..
it's time to find a new airframe..
I loved my Rave and figured by now all the issues would have been fixed.. but I come back and find nothing has changed except that the baby Rave seems to have been forgotten altogether, Now I understand why I was able to find a replacement airframe for 120 bucks shipped.. because I cannot even get the parts to fix it up again and have been told not to bother because of the TT and gear issues.

I love my FBL Rave 450 but parts is parts and we will all need parts eventually! If I ever leave the Rave due to parts shortages I'm getting a Mini Protos though, much better heli than the Trex. The Logo 400 is a different class machine.

The whole kit for the head we do not have in stock right now, but are working on that. What other things are you looking for?

Glad you found the parts for a FBL head! I think you will love it and I honestly doubt there is a better flying or looking 450 size heli. So far I have been able to find the parts I needed but have had to use new vendors (Experience R/C and CY Hobbies) and even had on two occasions called and gotten parts from two vendor's "private stock". I have had one minor crash, stripped a gear set, and had a tail shaft bend in flight. A quick look at many web sites you will see many out of stock parts, but so far so good and I will not give up my little Rave until I have to, and I don't expect that to happen. Several people have been on the web forums looking for the FBL conversion kit.

Actually we got them in a little bit ago and have been shipping them to dealers. If your favorite dealer does not have one feel free to have them order it.

Hey everyone.
Brian got me fixed up with the flybarless head.
Here is my setup...
CC ice 50 lite
Mini vbar
JR 285 mg and a 3500 g all on 6 volts.
350 blades
3s and -6 motor..
All I can say...
This thing is awesome... It is so much better than 325 flybar setup..
If some one was to tell me before, I wouldn't believe it.
If your thinking about it... Do it! You won't be disappointed.
The FBL head assembly is a work of art... Very neat and tidy.
Many thanks to Brian and the gang for setting me up!
