That's a Jive on there.

Looks like the fire started with the front lipo?

Please fill us in on what happened. Did it crash and then catch fire or what?

The heli looks intact. He probably had a bad lipo that heated up too much and started puffing and smoking.

Geez, that looks familiar. I feel for ya, especially being a shiny Logo and all.

It wasn't my Turnigy pack but a CC ESC. The pack blew up from crash damage. See video.

Unfortunately, most Logo 500 setups cant fit the battery in the tray with the counter bearing installed

Yep, so the CF sheets on the packs are the next best thing you can do. I bought a 2mm sheet from HK (about the only thing I buy from there) and cut the strips myself. A little sanding & heat shrink and you're done.

Might also want to get some new battery straps if the ones you used "got loose".

I am using GF sheets myself, work great (but I never have had to test them yet, lol).

Something as simple as a quarter can be taped to the battery in the right spot. Much cheaper than using CF for protection.

GensAce packs have an aluminum plate on each side of the pack. This should help from pinion penetration.

Yep, top and bottom. Sky Lipos have this aluminum plate as well.

Yep I use to have a spartan metal gyro plate connected to one of my straps, then I just cut the pinion.

Next time use a CO2 extinguisher and you will not do any damage to the motor and the electronics.
I used it when I had my turbine Helicopter and I had few wet starts and sprayed the helicopter and I could fly later. Of course it was a time that I was not that lucky

Too bad gens ace 5300 measure 1mm too tall for a logo 500 (at least per spec)
