So I converted my Frenzy to flybarless and I get excessive pitch up and down. I get like +24 to -25 degrees. This is with the stock frenzy flybarless head. Am I supposed to limit the pitch electronically in the radio or will the FBL unit do that for me? This is my first time doing flybarless. I don't have a controller yet.

No

No set limits in FBL controller or radio to just normal 11/12 max. Your motor will not handel the 12+ that is there. Also it may bind using those settings.

you want to set the max collective +/- in the fbl controller.

the frenzy fbl head is not optimal for fbl setups. the resolution is not right in my opinion. i would swap it out for an rjx head or use spacers of some sort between the blade grips and blade grip arms (appx 1/4".

i used some 1/4" x 1/4" 6061T6 stock and made my own and this greatly improved the resolution on the head. if you cant find any, pm me your addy and ill send you some. i ordered what i thought was a 6" piece and actually ended up with a 6' piece, lol... so i have plenty sitting around...
