Greetings from Muncie. Tomorrow morning starts the 2011 heli nats. Craig reports 24 entries, pretty good turnout. We're starting at 8am with fai, c3, c2, and then c1. Should get 2 rounds in tomorrow. Hope to get in 3 rounds one of the days so as to be completed by Wed. so guys can hit the ircha line thursday. Will have to see how it goes. We'll be running 1 line this year.

All the world team members are here this year which is good to see. I'll try to update daily with scoring.

Curtis brought his new env fuse, not sure if he'll be flying it. It looks nice, though still in rough form. Talked to the John Adams and he said Horizon may be importing the gracy fuse.

Think there's only 2 flybarless that I know of in c3. Ben and John, Gy750 vs beast x.

Around 3 this afternoon a heavy storm with strong winds blew through sending everyone packing. A lot of us took the opportunity to ck into our motels and most were back at the field by 5 for more practice and the pilots meeting. Muncie is hell on tents, seen more tents destroyed here than anywhere else, don't think there were any casualties though.

An interesting note I've never seen out here before is Experience RC has a bill board on the way to the field on 35, the bypass. Might actually be a good idea.

I just want to wish everybody good luck and to thank Craig Bradly and his staff for all their hard work. I'm bummed that my work schedule has prevented me from making this years nats happy flying and hope to see ya soon. Tom

Day 1 Monday results. Everyone flew 2 rounds, fai tried to get 3, don't think they made it because of rain, but not sure.

Not sure what they're doing with the flybarless results as they're included with the regular classes.

Everyone but expert has 5 rounds. Start expert in the morning followed by fai, F schedule. Looks like we'll be finishing up tomorrow with everyone getting 7 rounds in.

Are we going to see RunRyder video of each contestant flying?

I recall seeing video of everyone flying AMA and F3C in the NATs last year. Will there be video this year?

RR wasn't there.

Final results are the same for each class as in my previous post. (at least the top 3)

All classes finished after 6 rounds, as flying a 7th wouldn't have affected the final standings. FAI flew 7 rounds.

A lot of thanks need to go out to Craig and his wife for all the work they put into another nats. They did a great job.

Lots of wind this year as opposed to last year. Even Curtis was bouncing up and down about a 1/2". Everyone handled it pretty well.

Congrats to the class winners!

Thanks so much Craig for hosting this event. You and your wife were fantastic.

Can't wait to see everyone again. I don't think I'm going to make it down for Nob's event, but I'm shooting to make the Space Coast next spring.
