For those of you that find the switches a bit tight on the shoulders of your 8FG here is what I did. I replaced the switch nuts with the ones off of my Real Flight sim transmitter. It actually has three that you can use. I had some extra left from my old DX7 so I dremeled off the shoulder on the bottom of one to use for the fourth switch. I find it gives me more space in between the two switches for my middle finger since I pinch.

Switches on upper left still have the stock nuts on for comparison.

You can also send it in to Radio South and they will move switch/es for you.

The Switch nut mod is AMAZING. Highly recommended. Because the nuts are low-profile, it easily doubles the space between the switches. My fat fingers fit between them no problem now.

or you can add a switch like i did here....

i wanted a push button switch right under my right hand ring finger so i never have to look for it because my finger is always resting on it.

^^^ But you in no way increased the space between the switches, therefore you have missed the entire point of this thread/ mod.

sorry i just wanted to show off my little push button mod, i'll go away now.......

P.S. i didn't need to increase the space between the switches as my fingers already fit there very nicely.......

That's the best mod yet! Now I have no reason to buy the 18mz, so you saved me 3000 bucks!

and don't forget, the Spektrum rings work too, but you have to dremel off the bottom ridge. Take's a few extra minutes, but hey, it's free! The Futaba rings look better on the the Spektrum anyway.

No, the push button works just like the one on the RealFlight TX. After you crash, push it and the model is back in front of you, all put together and ready to go again.

With features like that, it is amazing that more people don't fly Futaba.

Probably Futaba part # HSP73668. Should be available through dealer or direct from Futaba.
