I am another long time Nitro flyer that went all electric, no more oil mess, $30 a gallon fuel, trips to get the fuel, stater motors, tuning engines, or glow ignitors. After not flying my 700E due to a castle esc problem (uh EM), for a few weeks, when I finally got it back in the air again I realized what I was missing LOTS OF POWER , and my 700N just wasn't exciting anymore, even with a YS SR 3DS and Hatori. I would rather have 4:30 of huge power than 7:30 of good power.

Electrics are just pure, raw, clean power.

I will miss the smell and sound of a 90 Nitro engine purring, but I cannot deny the power of electrics anymore and their almost turbine like sounds. Goodbye Nitro, lots of good memories, you will be missed.

Now I am thoroughly enjoying a 700E FBL and a 600E PRO FBL.

PS I AM NOT PISSING ON NITROS OR PEOPLE WHO FLY THEM!!

I would love to see a gasser, I do fly a 33% on gas and enjoy flying all day on $3.50, and I see Align is working on a gasser 700, but do you think the power to weight will be near the same as an electric heli?

No, power to weight isn't even close on a gasser, but they are still a lot of fun.

I've been all electric for a while as well, it's so much better and easier, I can't think of going back.

Yeap, electric is clean power, and expesive but you're right about insane power. I also enjoy longer flight time which makes it easier to learn new maneuvers with longer stick time.

You'll miss the slimy mess that needs to be wiped up everytime.

You'll miss having to dick around with a pumps and starters.

You'll miss having to land every 30 seconds to turn a screw.

You'll miss that tinny little rickety rackity garden tool sound.

You'll miss those hot starts and clutch replacements.

I can't wait for the automotive industry to do the same thing for the barrage of clever advertisement.

And lastly, the dinosaurs thank you.

You can always dial the head speed back a bit and have longer flight times. The flexibility to do this is one of the best things with E power. My Shape 9.0 will go 7 minutes flying at a mix of 1750 and 2000. If I want more pop all I need to do was crank the TC up. At 2200 it is ballistic for 4 minutes.

Danny i know that but you lose alot of pop at lower headspeeds. i do have 2 different flight modes so i can get better times.

Yes cleaning suck no question about it, soon enough we all may force to switch as technology continue improve. I love the fact that with nitro I can flight not only longer flight but countless flights without charging but just refueling. Keeping one 600N in case may be good idea if you can effort it.
