I have a tail belt driven 600N with the tail wagging crazily during bank turns. Other than that the tail is ok. I have to reduce the gyro gain to 22% on my JR9503 to get rid of the wag, but I think it is too low. The tail servo is HS6965 on BeastX and the tail blades are 95mm radix.

Would decreasing the tail servo arm length be able to help?

Try moving ball link on servo arm one or a couple of holes closer to center.

What gain do you have beast set to? What distance on your servo arm are you at? What is your pot on the beast at? Did you hover it in rate mode?

The gain on the BeastX unit is at default factory setting.
The servo arm distance to the centre was orignally at 15mm, but I reduced it one hole inner to 13mm and I can slightly increase the gain on the radio by 6%.
Yes, I have mechanically set the tail neutral in rate mode.

You mean on the radio?

Yup. The heli might not wag in a hover, but when you do fast backwards flight or high speed turns you are asking more from the gyro to hold the tail. If your gain is to high it will wag in these conditions. If you lower the tail gain 2-3 points the wag should go away. Unless it is really to high than lower it some more.

Winds also affect the tail. If you are flying on a 30+ mph day and do a banked turn at hight speed the tail migh thave a wag then also, you might not of had it the day before when it was calm.

You should have the tail gain set up on a channel on your radio. Start at what you have now and lower it 3 points and see if it goes away. If it is still there but not as much then lower it 2 more points. The tail will not blow out.
