So... I just got my first heli and it us fully functional except I have to install gyro for the tail.

I got a JR 460t, there are no gain tuning on the gyro it self. The gain is suppose to be tuned via AUX on the transmitter, how ever I only have a 6ch Futaba transmitter and can not see that I have any aux...

Do I need another gyro where I can change the gain on the gyro it self?

NO with Futaba their are no Aux channels because it has a gyro menu. Gyro goes in the I believe 4 and 5 (I've been FBL for over a year therefore don't remember) and then the gain is adjusted in the gyro menu.

yes on futaba you plug the gyro gain lead into ch 5,then you can set channel 5 to gy( I believe, I'll check when I get home)then you set the gain from your tx.you set up a switch so you can toggle between rate and HH.if you have any questions you can pm me

humm... I have Futaba Skysport-6h FP-6VH
End Receiver FP-R127DF

I have plugged into input 1-5 and 8 (power)

Should I put the gain controle into 6 then?
And where on the control can I fix the gain?

What helicopter?

That doesn't make any sense, channel 6 is usally either collective pitch or one of the CCPM servos

Ok, well the gyro gain should be plugged in to 5, then you adjust the end points on channel 5 (gear) to set the gain. The farther away from center you are the more gain you get, the direction you go from center determines whether you're in heading hold or normal mode.

2 Servo
3 Servo / Throttle
4 Gyro
5 Servo - This one moves the Servo trey

Thanks for your help!

The gear or channel 5 on the remote is a flick,ON OFF button.
Not a turning nob...

How can I tune the gain then?

B Battery
1 R/L cyclic (aileron - tilts the swashplate left/right)
2 Fw/Aft cyclic (elevator - tilts the swashplate forward/aft)
3 Throttle (engine only)
4 Tail pitch (via gyro) (rudder - changes the blade pitch on the tail blades)
5 Collective - slaved to channel 3(main blade pitch - moves the swashplate up/down)
6 Gyro gain (our magic channel)

Problem is that channel 6 on Futaba Skysport-6h (analog radio) does not have End Point Adjustment/Travel Adjustment so the only gain you can have is 100% and 0%

I think its possible to switch channel 5 and 6 but there is still no End Point Adjustment/Travel Adjustment for the gyro gain channel.

Perhaps the Futaba MSA-10 Servo Synchronizer can do the job for you but that's a waste of $$$...
I cant find a cheaper standalone servo limiter on the market.

Time to buy a new Tx buddy
