8th flight with new Protos 500, just spooling up about to take off and the heli very quickly rolled straight over to the left, chipped mainblades, blade grips, chewed 2 9650's, tail blade etc etc. it was flying beautifully before this-i dont understand what happened. Went over everything thoroughly, it was the 3rd flight for the day. Any thoughts? im using the BeastX, cheers.

Mine flew perfectly for a long time but then the weather changed and I started to have static problems and that lead to crashes like you described. If you haven't already, ground the boom to the motor mount.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

Cheers, will do. I did check ohms with multimeter, i thought it was ok but i'll ground with wire anyway just to make sure.

I've run a wire from(bare metal) under the tail servo mount to an eye terminal on the motor mount, and then from the eye terminal to the negative wire on the esc. Spooled up and as soon as the heli gets light on the skids it still wants to tip straight over onto its left side. I thought maybe issues with the BeastX mounting, so ive moved it back a little, and used a thin metal plate and two foam pads, hasnt helped at all. Cant be static, but i dont have a clue whats happening. Any advise will be much appreciated, cheers.

Few things to check: (1) accidental subtrim; and (2) vibration. Most likely to be vibration.

My Rex550 BeastX flew great for about 30+ flights. Then it suddenly developed a bad leaning to the left when I increased idle2 by a few percentage point. The cause of the left leaning heli in idle2 was vibration. I added a small plastic block under the cf gyro plate to reduce/eliminate the vibration and the problem went away.

Something to look into.

Thanks chopper63. After being recommended, i replaced the two BeastX pads and metal with just 1 piece of 3m Scotch clear mounting tape# 4010- problem solved
