Was wondering if I am able to stretch my Trex 700E.

I'm sure many already done this just wanted some pointers on how to do it and what fabrication it involves.

Do I order two booms and cut and fuse two together? torque tubes too ?

Thanks

Selam,

There is plenty of useful info on this forum and also elsewhere on the net.
You have to extend the boom by a 10cm, get 180cm main rotor and 30cm t-rotor (or close) so you lift your 5kg payload. Check these options and I am sure you can find what you need.

You have to find a suitable pinion gear to match your choice of brushless-esc-LiPo combination in order to get a comfortable main rotor rpm.

Let us know how you go from here.

Hi Ahmmet,

Thanks for the reply, I was not aware that align have a product to convert a 700 to 800 size.. this is great and I already added that in the cart.. as for blades I already have 2 sets of 800s and an 830mm that was previously used on a century gasser.. might not fit but worth a try. as for tail blades closest I found is a pair of 110s from Youngblood.

as for gearing, I got that figured for now, I'll be using Xera 400kv with many pinions to fine tune when payload is available. ESC will be Castle's ICE HV 160A. I do have Jive 80+ but I simply love how castle's software logs and analyses loads/currents so I can see how much stress my heli is fighting not to mention the neat RPM calculator.

fingers crossed. and I'll update on the findings

Thanks again

Yes they do, I think this great for anyone who need bigger machine than 700. Besides, Align is getting ready to compete on 800 market.
