Is there anyone having issues with their DX8 since it has been back from Horizon?
Just wondering if all the problems are cured.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi

Havent sent mine in yet.. I do need to send it in for gimbal replacement just because its a little off, however, havent had issues with this radio and it hasnt been to horizon for any updates/upgrades.

I guess I got a "good batch"... I love this radio.

At our club everyone of the DX8's have had one problem or another most have been sent back at least once and some twice. One fellow from another club has sent his back 4 times and now has to send it back again.

It is a shame for the hobby to have this type of poor quality control. I think I will stick to my 9303.

Wrongler,

I purchased my radio from Ray Nemovi, neither him nor I had issues.

I like the vibrating feature (Im deaf, it is handy), Im very happy with it.

I still don't get why someone with buy something that knownly have issues. For the price I pay my helis, I'd rather have a radio that I know I can count on.

so far so good with my DX8 since i got it back from the recall two weeks ago. they even upgraded it to the dsmx for free.

i bought mine december of last year and the only known issue then was the vibrate feature on the servo (mine didn't have that issue) but later on, the rudder trim as observed in the monitor will just shoot from 0 to -11 (or other values) this was the reason i sent it back. i hope it's the only time.

i also sent my back up 9303 along with it and they replaced the RF board for free.

nice customer service from HH.

Mine has been good from day 1 and its one of the first batch, I had to send it in for the recall just because it fell into the suspect PID. After upgrading to 2.03 beta it has been even better to use.

Good luck

Dx8

I've had mine for about a week and so far so good. The telemetry is cool. It's so much easier to program than my older radio.

I got mine in December. Didn't fly it till the PID number came up for recall. Sent it in and got it back quickly. It has been all clear! I think its ended up being quite an interesting topic. I'm just checking it for bad pots now and then. If it was 12 channel and had a magnesium body it would be my favorite radio!

I've never met a helicopter I didn't like :)

I put mine on the flight sim 2 days ago, I must say that it feels like a comfortable TX. Great options and seems pretty easy to navigate the menus. I guess in a couple of weeks I will put it to work and see what happens.

Thanks,
Bill
