Holy cow - suddenly it's very hard to find a 2S Li-Po battery for my 700 Nitro.

I'm looking for something around 3000 - 4000 mah.

I tried the Li-Fe and hated it! Voltage dropped off like a cliff after a few flights and almost caused a crash.

So I want a tired & true Li-Po.

But where to get one these days???

Help!

Saturday morning I flew my helicopter in my pajamas
How it got in my pajamas I'll never know

Ronlund.com, I just ordered a 2S2P Thunder Power pro lite 3600 mAh pack for a 700N. I'm sure they had more but don't remember how many.

I just got the Thunder Power 3800 which fits nice on the 700n. its short so it doesnt hang off the end of the heli. so in a crash its less likely to get damaged.

I flew a life and it crashed me on the second flight. it was charged just before my flight.

For redundancy, try the FlightPower 4200 2s2p, if a cell fails, you still have power.

I used this battery for a while before switching to LiFe.

The secret to LiFe (ha!) is to guage your first few flights and don't exceed the pack usage and don't loose track of your flights, lol! If I even have a doubt I top them off.

About that battery,

http://grandrc.com/Batteries/Charge...oduct_info.html

Did you just cut all of those unnecessary leads off so they wouldn't get in the way???

I wish they just made them with a good ole' deans...

I just Velcro them back out of the way.
I love EC3 over Deans!
Plus they plug direct to the AR7100 series

Surprising some guys are going with such large batteries on the 700 as opposed to keeping the weight down.

I've been playing with the LiFe packs and haven't seen any draw back with them.

The heli feels the same as it did when it was on 8v and like any other battery, if you fly more than what you have in the pack you may crash.

Take the time to check your pack after 2 flights and you could save yourself some rebuild time.

With both the LiFe and the LiPo (both are 2200) I can get 3 flights safely on my 700.

+1 on what Mike says.

I crashed on life pack, but it was my falt i was on my 4th flight when it just stopped. 3 flights and watch what you put back. The futaba 750 uses a lot of power, i am pretty carefull.

Put a 5000mah lipo on your 700 and be done with it. I have one on my 700 and don't have to worry about it going dead on you. I don't care about the weight cause the 700 has enough power!!

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

I have a TP 2650 * 2 setup, I get 6 to 7 flights before I am 7.6 V

why only 3 flights?

3 flights is a safe number , yes you can go more but depending on your setup you could be pushing your luck . I run NRG 5000 and Volts 2500 and both fit well on airframe .the Pulse are compact but have two standard conectors and I feel better with HD wire .

7.6 on a load will drop fast under a heavy load in flight and gyros will not hold .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

It really depends on how your flying it. If your really pushing your flights and banging the heli around then your going to use more mah per flight.

On a 2650 I would still stop at 3 flights or so.

Assuming I'm using an EOS to check pack...

what volt and percentage should I stop?

ps 2650 * 2, so that's 5300 mah.

What voltage per cell do you guys let them drop to?
I stop at 3.9volts on lipo packs. On my old 3600 packs I would get 5 flights.
