Nice kit BUT too many parts are Radikal specific in these conversions. I don't like it. I love a conversion that allows to use much stock Align parts as possible.

I like Helibug gasoline conversion. Simple and straight forward.

As of right now, I haven't read a single thread where someone owns both. I might give it some time before asking for a comparison.

Helibug has a pretty loyal following and the people that own them tend to stick with them. I own an HB6-RCT7 (Trex-600)and I'm completely statisfied with it. However, most of the original Align parts have been replaced... starting with the bearings. That was a head to skid change out. So I don't see lack of Align parts as a bad thing.

The other thing that always gets overlooked is how you fly. Machines are getting built for 3D, but the non-vocal majority sport flies. The Helibug allows me to use multiple engine setups. I can make it as simple or as complex as I like. I sport fly. I use a stock G230rc with an 813 carb (the 813 works fine btw). I don't use or need a governor or a battery generator. Even though I have a 9ch rx, I fly on 6 channels. I can do loops, rolls, and flips without overspeeding. If I bog the engine it's because of collective management and not design.

I can't speak about the HWC kit. I'd try it if someone wants to give me a 700N Airframe. Otherwise, I'm going with a Radikal for my next heli purchase.

Hi all

thanks all for your reply
very interesting
also thanks rumore for the link
(je vais le contacter et parler avec lui pour en savoir beaucoups plus
j'ai deux t600n complet pret a voler,un seul sera modifier en gasser t700 avec un g26 modifié,ne manque que le pot et le kit et je suis ready to go

see in the HWC kit there is a 6.43(103T/16t) ratio means 12000 rpm engine at 1800HS seems too much ?
what speed a g26puh can run? (average RPM)(zenoah spec 13000 1.72hp but recommended to run 9500/10500 max?!)
run my aurora 90 nitro at 1950 with 700 blades
would the same with gasser
a little bit lost

what's your advise ?

thanks
regards
lionel

thanks guys

Lionel: A 231 zenoah is happy at 11,000 to 12,000. A modified G26 works the same range fine. Some run faster. Too slow and the clutch will slip, cooling will suffer. Too fast and the engine will also overheat, and vibrate. The Zenoah book is just wrong on those matters. I would not trust any of these engines at below 10,500 in any situation.

some of the modified motors, both 23 and 26cc will run smoothly well into the 14K RPM range.

Lionel I run my gassers only for aerial photo work, carrying load 100% of the time, at 11,800. I run the 26 Hanson sized engines, and they are "safe" from 11,000 to 14,000. The problem with the higher RPMS past 12,000, even in a balanced engine, is that low torque & high rpm operation will often increase vibration, reduce fuel economy, and increase noise, even if only slightly, and yield little benefit. In summary do not be too concerned with specific RPM limits, the dynamics of your machine, and flying style are quite different than mine, it will take some experimentation and preference on your part. Even a muffler change will affect ideal engine speed, too many variables. Having an extra gear ratio on hand can be a wise choice if you can get one, I know nothing about the described kit...

why reinvent the wheel? helibug has already done it and its very good
I guess there is no need to have any other helis either. I mean... no one can improve on the very first RC Heli ever sold right?

They are here at IRCHA
The Century Booth has both the 600 and 700 conversions built up and on display. They both look very nice. Seemed like a good balance of Trex and Radical inspired parts. Nice to be able to swap main gears without messing with the frame. Also the Trex head will add strength in my opinion. Rep told me they are in the US and available. Will try and get some pics tomorrow.

I owned a Radikal.... Never again

I now have a helibug 700. Haven't tried it yet but whoever thinks it's inferior to the Radikal is ..... Well....expressing their own opinion.

If it ain't broke then break it.

60 flights on my HWC 700 conversion.
Probably what led me to this conversion was the fact that the clutch that was provided was a big, strong, proven gasser clutch. The main gear is also almost indestructible.

I have a G26 Pro in it at 2000 HS and it flys great. Flying it FBL with VBar and VBar gov.
