I just master the upright backward flight and can do backward bank turns and figure 8 now. I can do inverted nose in hovering and some side way inverted hovering but not tail in yet. So for my case, which one will be easier for me to start with, inverted forward flight or inverted backward flight?

My opinion is inverted forward flight, to me it seems easier than backwards, though I'm not proficient at either, I can do it. Try it on the sim first and see which is more comfortable to you.

Inverted fwd was easier to learn for me. I still feel timid on the backward inverted flight. Try on SIM first everyone is different.

Good luck.

I think backwards inverted is for me anyways. Because rudder goes right, and ail goes right, when doing a left handed turn. Both of the sticks go same direction in inverted backwards

My 2C would be none of the above. I would not work on dynamic inverted flight until you can hover reliably in all inverted orientations.

I do forward inverted flight. Its not the best. Make sure you are high enough to bail out.

If you've got upright backwards flight down, then I would recommend going to inverted forward flight next. Except for collective it's "the same stick controls".

What I mean by this is that there are really only two possibilities of the sideways interaction between the two sticks. Either you push both sticks the same direction (as in upright forward flight) or you push them the opposite directions (as in upright backwards flight).

With inverted forward flight you also push the sticks in opposite directions. The fore/aft cyclic will also seem similar, as in backward flight you drop the tail (back cyclic) to go faster and raise it to go slower. With inverted forward flight, you'll also input back cyclic to go faster. The only difference will be collective, but you'll have mastered this with the inverted hovering practice.

Finally, I get this inverted forward flight figure 8 nailed down though I still suffered two crashes during the whole exercise depsite hours of practice on the sim. It now becomes my second nature when doing the bank turn without the need of thinking about it too much.

I still recall the first time when I attempted it, I always got disoriented during the turn and messed up with the stick inputs, but now everything becomes natural. Very weird.

On sim it seems easier to bail out inverted backwards, just pull back on both sticks. Ill be inverted soon.

If its fixed don't break it.
