Sorry to hear about your Heli craze. That stinks. I set my HS at 2150 today and that made the tail a whole lot better. My edge 115's should be here on tues.

Cool beans buddy!

I finally swapped my 700n e conversion to an actual e frame last week. I agree, nice build and it flys great.
I flew the align tails forever at 1900 with no issues(other then head bogging) on a vbar, so its possible.
I drilled and tapped my heli-d conversion motor mount to fit, and its adjustable as well with a 560. Im too cheap for the kde stuff, until I need it.

Riq, you are running the the 700n tail gears in your 700e? Maybe that's why your tail is holding so well at 1900.

I ran mine at first at 1950 and 105's the tail didnt hold well. Then i put on some 110's and tail was fine. This was with stock gears. No need of changing the gears.

Are the nitro gears diff ratio? Makes sense as nitro runs a lower hs. Yes, mine are from a nitro conversion that I bought a new 700e frame off ebay and stripped my convert down.

Here's mine, it flies fantastic!
setup: apart from the Heli Jive and Mini V-Bar 5.1 it's all stock, but soon I'll order a pair of Edge 115 tail blades.

This machine rocks with +- 14° pitch...

Looks good popcorn, looks almost identical to the one I built except for I am running Mavrikk G5's and BlS Servos.

Riq, yes, the nitro 700 runs a different gear ratio than the E version. I thought about putting some 700n tail gears in so I can run the lower headspeeds (I like about 1850, good power and good flight times), but I instead chose to put the 115 edge tail blades on. They will give me the same percentage, if not a little more of air bite as the changing to 700n tail gears would.

I bumped my headspeed up to 2150 last night and it made a very big difference with the 105's though.

I put 6 flights on the 700e last night at 2150 headspeed and the tail held perfect with the 105 kbdd blades. Had to bump the collective precomp on the vbar up to 40, but the tail is rock solid now. The 115's will be here this week so I will setup some lower headspeeds as well. Overall,I'm falling in love with this Heli!

I keep telling myself I need a higher quality helicopter, but that is mainly because everyone else says Align is sub par. I have flown many brands and every time I fly this 700e, I continue to fall in love with it. It delivers everything I ask and the parts are just up the street, no matter where I go. I'd love to see the haters address that point.

My buddy has a Synergy N9. He says it is the best flying heli he owns (7 different helis). However, every time he has a major crash, he has to find a used complete airframe to fix it.

I will stick with the 700e for now, although the Whiplash, Synergy E7 and Compass 7HV all look very enticing.

It is certainly a great "bang for the buck" heli that is capable of anything you can throw at it. It does not fly as well as my Logo 600SE with 690's because it weighs considerably more, but for a day to day flyer, I dont think there is anything better than an Align heli.
