I was reading in another forum how folks use rust inhibitor on a regular basis in their servos. As my heli went into the pool, rust is a concern. She is up and flying like a champ, but I do not want something like a seized servo to screw me. What is the time frame to disassemble the servos and spray them out? What do you guys use to maintain the servos? I have ds 610's and futaba s 9254. I have one DS821 on the throttle.

Thanks
Greg

The first bit of maintenance I would do is throw the 821 back in the pool.

Where did you see about folks using a rust inhibitor? I'd like to read that thread.

HIGHLY recommended among float flyers. I use it on my seaplane.

Also used around house. STILL have a 25 year old AC unit running because of this product.

I wish I could remember. I was browsing on tapatalk, and once you read a post on that, it disappears to where it originally came from. And the topic was not about servo maintenance, but it turned that direction. I am going to try the Corrosion X.
