Had the 'BACKUP ERROR' problem with my DX7. And I think the batt is completely dead.

Anyone that had trouble like this with the DX7 send it in for repairs? Its out of warranty, so Im wondering how much it might cost and if it's worth it with shipping...

Thanks!

Ever notice how crash rhymes with cash?

Try fix it yourself
Replace fuse inside Radio
1/ All stick need to be in NEUTRAL position (ALL)
2/ Mix-Rudder D/R on 1
3/ Elevator D/R on 1
4/ Flap Mix on 0
5/ Aux2 on 1
6/ Aileron D/R on 0
7/ Presse UP and power ON buttons at same time.

found this in an old runryder post

Nicros, your best bet would be to call Horizon and ask them.

I had the BACKUP ERROR caused by myself - I had the battery cover off and turned the radio over, dropping the battery to the ground and causing the error. The radio was out of warranty. I sent it to Horizon Hobby, with that same explanation and they fixed it at no charge to me.
