Unplug your rudder servo and gyro and try again, if the result is the same then make up a conector to plug the batt directly into the reciever and try again, if you get the same result then it is a bad conection or solder joint some place either in the batt leads or reciever!
That is, provided the batt is fully charged!

I say ditch the two in one and get a proper reg or a AR7100/AR7100R and you will never look back!

I would first take and unplug all your servos. Then plug one servo in at a time and move your sticks around checking for problem. Make sure you have your servo wheels off at this time. If everything checks out then one by one put your servo wheels back on the servos and check to see if problems appears.

It sounds like you may have some binding or over driving of the servos. If nothing shows up then use a receiver pack like a 6v or 4.8v and see if the problem appears. If it does not appear then I would say its the 2 n 1.

Try it out and let us know the results so we can figure out something else if need be.

Its easy to bind push pulls if the lengths aren't quite right. Set one link according to the center pivot distance, then fine tune the other link until it moves freely and doesn't create servo buzz.

Setup can be frustrating on any new bird. I've had my share of problems with servo mixing, throttle and pitch curves and gyro setup owning several now.
It's a hard hobby to invest so much time and money just to have one thing prevent lift off. Hang in there and never give up or throw anything in the corner until its scrap. Did the DX7 work on the lipos before? I've heard the voltage goes off the chart on a new charge and can over power most but not a Spektrum they are supposed to be good up to 9v.
