That's great news. While my impression of the beast is quite good alot of my little issues look like they will be adressed with the new v3 firmware.

Thank you

I am at 150 on my ail and elev right now with my dx7 and the roll rates are plenty fast.. (could be faster) but that might be more due to servo speed and geometry and of course head speed and blades used

I'm on V3 and there is a new parameter 'Cyclic Response' and 'Pitch Boost' I've maxed mine out and its much quicker than V2 with 100% on the rates.
I have Beastx on 2 700Ns and a 550E

cyclic response really has not affected roll rates for me

The maximum cyclic rates are ONLY defined by the aileron and elevator signals comming from the radio. Each Signal (Stick position) has it's own (factory calibrated) rotation rate on its axis.
But what Stick deflection gives what exact rotation rate is depending on the control behaviour setup (parameter menu B), the type of radio/receiver (as they all use different signal ratios) and the programming of atv/travel/dualrate inside of the radio.

But this is only true as long as the physical parameters are allow to have the giuded rate. For example if you guide a rate of 400° per second, but your cyclic range only allows the heli to rotate at 350° then the fbl electonic can not do anything to achive 400°.
Same is for low headspeed, bad blades .....

Always try to give the system as much cyclic room as possible (in "Setup menu L" without binding) make sure to have enought rpm for your fligth style and then adjust the desired rotation rate with the atv/travle or dualrate in your radio.

If you need a fast rotation rate but the system is to aggessive in the middle you are free to use expo as you want, but make sure to set the "control behavoir" ("Parameter Menu B" to radio before as otherwise you mix up endpoint calculation for expo and expo curves from the microbeast with that one form the radio, this could feel very strange.

best regards,
Walter

New to FBL in that I don't have one yet but if I did it would be a BeastX. My question comes from this statement:
Feed forward cyclic is just the initiation response on cyclic from my understanding too.
Why have they made this adjustable?

Shouldn't it just be set to respond as fast as it can so it feels more like a flybarred heli?

60% of the time, it works every time!

because not everyone wants FBL to feel like FB i would guess.

if it ain't broke, break it.

I increased pot B a little and felt it increased cyclic response.
