Man I never thought about having to do all that! I just bring the stuff and fly. I did think about slime everywhere when I had to choose between nitro/electric way back when. I've not regreted electric. Now that I'm working more on precision moves rather than power moves, nitro would probably fit the bill for me better, but I've already commited to electric and have never looked back.

McKrackin, you need the heli too...no? And on a more serious note, a spare flight pack could be added too. That's one downside for FBL I suppose... as you probably can get away for a whole day with a flybared setup.

Rog, that's the upper right. Burned out on the orientation stuff huh. Just kidding.

Band, how about putting a summary on the 1st page? I know that would be a bit of work for you but there are so many pros and cons between the two, it would help a lot of the stuff from getting lost or repeated. Would also be able to filter out the comments whose sole purpose is to inflame...like this one just as an example.
As long as this thread don't become a "let's talk about me and my friends" type,,,it has a chance perhaps of being useful. But doubtful ...

I can empty a gallon of fuel with one RX pack charge.

More than 8-10 eight minute flights gets to be more of a chore than a hobby anyway.

Any breaks at all between flights leads to 3 hours to get 10 flights.

I just drain a gallon and quit.Sometimes not quite a gallon and sometimes more than a gallon.

A 7 minute break will get the RX pack back up to the task of 8-10 more flights if it really needs it.

I said I charge my RX pack at 1C but not that I'm limited to 1C.

When I get quoted I'll respond, pretty clear really. My post was NOT to inflame, rather to avoid the kaffufle the other became "obviously".

To try to keep it clean, it's bands thread and as he stated no BS. Be nice to see an actual discussion about electric vs nitro in an actual sensible manner, nuff said have great night. Going to try to catch a few flights myself before dark tongight as it is dark by 7pm now days

Band, my opinion, you especially should delete the hypocritical posts...and all reactions to them. Including mine of course. Else, you look outsmarted.

I was serious about the 1st page summary though. Otherwise this really is just a chat session. Nothing wrong with that but you can't paint an accurate picture with just sequential tidbits being added over time.

Band, please delete these as you wish.

Shawn, I do not go off in a corner to whisper. If we don't want the need to whisper, think ahead and don't start them.

One thing you nitro guys have over me as a 450 electric flyer is that I have grass stuck all over my tail boom and tail blades. I need to start carrying cleaner and paper towels to the field too.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

I will add this, bearingand shaft oiling has to be payed attention to as an electric flyer. Otherwise failures will occur.

Mine is stuck on because I don't clean the heli at the end of a series of flights. Thank gosh orange clean takes care of it the next day. I need to make cleaning it a habit at the end of a day.
On the other hand "I'm guessing" a nitro can be cleaned the next day with no dried on grass.

Regarding this topic's Attn:RR feedback from three different members...

Guys, figure out how to get along or I just close the topic. I have to ignore your feedback if YOU are actively egging on the problem. The way to solve the problem is keep it technical and leave out personal reference.
