You guys might want to change the Tail gears to Nitro version as the ratio is 4.53 vs the Electric is 4.33.

1800 HS X 4.53 = 8154 TS
1800 HS X 4.33 = 7794 TS

That's 360 TS higher. That may be enough for the 105 blades.. Also at 1850 HS the differences is 370TS.

change the Tail gears to Nitro version
I can tell you it isn't possible to merely install the M0.7 "nitro version" gears on the 700E because the gear mesh will not be adequate. I tried it and found out the hard way when the gears stripped in flight. I would advise not to use the "nitro version" gears on this stretched model, especially considering the increased load on the gears. But, you can try it.

Anyone have any idea of what all would have to be changed to run the nitro gearing on an electric?

Where does the difference live that affect the gear mess?

I run the mod 0.7 tail gears in my CHP 700CE FBL . Granted the strongest motor I've ran is the align MX530 at 2100HS without any problems.
I run the MX510 now (prefer the better flight time) with same tail gear (100+ flights) using 110 hemmingbone main and 11t pinion 10:1 ratio at 2050HS.
I CAN'T say if the nitro gears will hold up to 800 conversion as I've never tried it.
Sam2b There's always a chance of striping gears if you tried it and stripped gears then I have to said "try at your only risk". My thoughts were only thinking the added tail speed would help tail hold with 105 blades.

Blake you would need all the gears from the mod 0.7 autorotation gear back to tail.

You're right it would help indeed. Just ensure gear mesh is right. I mentioned stripping specifically on the 700e while using the M0.7 gears. Try it.

So what is the best and strongest gear set up on a 700E, main to tail? I'll be starting an 800E from a new 700E V2 kit and want it right.

Blake the 700E comes with Mod 1 gears for main to tail this is the strongest gears. You can get Main gear from KDE that's stronger than the stock main gear but it is louder.. I think you will be fine with stock gears.
I would recommend the KDE adjustable motor mount so you can set the pinion mesh perfect.

I would recommend getting the KDE main gear because of the very high disk load. You could try the stocker, but if you push it much it will strip. I stripped a gear right off the bat, then got the KDE HD gear, no problem since.

No, it was the KDE adjustable mount. The gear was not even a stocker, it was an early KDE gear, and the mesh was perfect. Their new HD gear is a lot better. The stock gear will not hold up I don't believe, unless the pilot is very easy on it. My motor is the KDE/Neu motor though, and that's why I never even tried a stock gear. But even with the stock motor, the disk loading is very high.

Checked with my LHS, they said my 800mm Align blades may be in as early as end of the week. Anxious to try it out again, 800's should do the trick!

I would think regearing might be a challenge. Even then a 90 size nitro motor may not have the balls to effectively spin 800's. Most of us are running 7 to 12 hp electric motors in our 700's. A 91hz can do 3.5 so long as you keep it at or very close to 14,000 rpm.
