I have Torq's in mine. I didn't have to split the frames to get any of them in, but I can see how that might make it a little easier to install.

Just finished up 6HV no. 2

Well I finished up my second 6HV Friday night and just flew it Saturday morning. I have to say this was the first time I have maidened a heli and it felt like the 20th flight. These helis have quickly become my favorite and are second to none in quality.

I did go for the mini Vbar on this one and spent a little extra time on the wiring. I think it came out really clean and appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Super clean build! I like what you did with the Deans (Rx power) installation on the frame. I'll tell ya, the Hobbywing ESC that comes with the kit is a good one. Are you running the Vbar governor?

Vbar Gov

I am running the gov on the one with the full size vbar. My understanding is that you need a regulator for the phase monitor on the mini so I am not. I do really like the way the one with the gov flies. Are you using it?

No, I'm not using the governor on the Hobbywing and mine is flybarred. I fly it at 83% flat on 15deg timing and get 9 minutes (80% going back to Lipos)---which I LOVE.

I played with higher headspeeds (90% Flat) and felt that I was not missing anything in performance. I just love this helicopter; so much I have a 7HV kit that is waiting for electronics. Usually I am in a big hurry to get a kit built, but every time I go and fly the 6, I come home satisfied.

The 6HV seems to have a cult following and I like the Kool-Aide (hiccup...)

If you can get over the fact that it looks like a sperm, it is one fantastic no maintenance machine.

Only neg is the small canopy

At first I had a hard time getting used to the canopy size but after a while you get used to it.

I have flown many helis and the 6HV is second to none. It's ano excellent machine.

Now we just need a little life here on the compass threads.

LOL! I never thought of it like that, but you're right Red.

I flew the stock canopy for the longest time. I liked it, but once I bought the canopy below I could see the heli soooo much better. It glows when it's coming towards you and it has a bigger appearance. It's a Fusuno and can be had for 50 bucks. Great upgrade IMHO.

You forgot that I posted the same canopy picture in the previous post.

I might add that you have a good taste in canopy. Puhaha.

My mistake...I can't resist an opportunity to post a pic of my girl.

She's even hotter now that I installed some booya quick releases--very sexy.

That's the same one I have, JOLT. It made a tremendous difference in visibility, particularly in distinguishing nose-in from tail-in at a distance.

Hey Bum! Another Compass guy Good to see a little activity in RR Compass.

I usually don't get to excited about canopies, especially the limited selection that Fusuno offered for the 6HV. But buying this canopy was one of the smartest things I Have done in the hobby yet. That large black visor on the stocker is murder when you're coming in hot and nose in.

Just ordered new canopies

Blinging out my 2 6HV's

I ordered 2 orange and 2 green canopies and the matching fins and blades. Fusuno said I should have them by the end of the week so I'll get picks up soon.

I won't have a larger heli without RC Booya mounts. They're quick, easy, and secure.

Just ordered

I have had a few flights lately where one side of the canopy was loose when I landed. I would hate to loose one in flight.
