anyone running on of these in a logo with 620 blades and 12s?

if so, what is your gearing, head speed, flight time, pack mah size etc?

it would be like putting a 350 in a pinto, but that's kinda the point.

if you have this setup, share your specs and experience please.

looking hard at this motor on 12s for a logo 600.

i got a pm stating there is no way the logo 600 would handle this motor on 12s.

if that is truly the case what would be an alternate 'overkill' motor that would work?

what mah packs, relative to weight, with a good 4:30 flight time?

I'm not sure what the PM meant by "handle the motor", but one basic problem is the gearing of the Logo 600 is such that a 520kv motor on 12S, even with the smallest pinion available, will drive the head speed far too high. 12S packs need motors in the 450 kv range, or even lower for more "sport type flying".

Also, the 4525 probably has too much "gear stripping power" for the Logo 600's gear train, even if the ratios were correct. Kyle runs one in a TDR on 12S, so I can't imagine one on a "600 class" disc.

Sorry I can't suggest an "overkill motor" for the Logo 600 on 12S, as we've never run the Logo 600 on anything but 10S (what it's designed for)

But by definition, when you get what your looking for, you'll "kill" the heli, so don't complain it can't handle what you come up with

I swapped in a Pyro700-450 on my 600 for 12s. makes great power and is quite smooth ( cant really describe it, just that the power seems a bit 'smoother'

with these higher power setups you need to make sure your gear mesh is perfect or it will strip pretty easily.

I say go for it. What's the worst that can happen. You strip a few gears, realize it to much power for the heli and then you have a excuse to buy a 700 size heli to put that nice motor in. If it works, you'll have the most powerful Logo in the land. Start with a 11 tooth pinion and shoot for 2300-2400 head speed. Take some video

interesting options out there. thanks for the input.

the pyro sounds like a good middle ground. will evaluate options for a while before pulling the trigger.

cost is not an issue on the motor (govt funded logo) and availability isn't an issue since i'm in no hurry.

want to find the right motor to combine with the new 65c volts 12s.

would like more than enough power for 620 or even 690 blades with at least 4:30 flight times.

If you run it with a Jive, you could probably run it at 65% and have no problem overspeeding the head.

Not a good idea... the CC gov sucks, feels much weaker than a Jive or VBar gov. The throttle response delay doesn't a good job with the VBar and I wouldn't speculate with an update that fast.
A Jive with a JLog2 would offer much more than just logging... you can use it for telemetry too.
