I set my head up for the normal settings in the back of the manual and it looks like the swash to mixing arm link might bind with the flybar carrier. Anybody set their head up with this setting and did everything clear?

You might need to flip the upper mixing arm's bell crank so that the three holes are furthest from the blade grip (and the two holes closest to it). Then install the ball into the outside (3rd) hole in the bell crank.

Well that sucks I used red locktite on the bolts like the manual said. I don't know why the manual gives these setting if they don't work

Can you post pictures of the binding that you are seeing?
I recall being able to get binding on the long linkage rod at some extreme stick positions on a "slower" head setup, but not on the active setups I've used.

Your red loctite should come ondone ok, just remember you don't need to bathe the parts in threadlock when fitting

Ok with a little heat I was able to get everything apart and I made the changes. Attached is a photo of the head settings I have now. Will this work for a normal head setting. I've never had a head that was able to be adjusted in so many ways and I want to make sure I get it right. Thanks for the help.

Are you saying that the mixing arm its self is hitting the flybar carrier?

Is this under "free movement" - no servos running, or is this under servo movement in conjunction with the radio and some extreme stick inputs?

Edit: I believe the binding you are talking about is with the mixing arm hitting the flybar base arm (the one with the logo on it). Where yes you can physically move them together and touch, but I have never seen this happen with the radio equipment installed, and especially in flight.

No the swash to mixing arm rod would bind with the flybar seesaw before you got to the extremes with the settings in the manual so I made the changes in the picture above. Can I fly the head like the picture about in my last post?

Does it bind with the servos and radio equipment installed and running?

From the differences in "normal" from the manual via this link on page 38, you have flipped the mixing arm over and are now using ML3 instead of MS2 for the swash linkage rod, to try and space the linkage rod out further?

Yes your right I have flipped the mixing arm to space the rod out further because with it set up like the manual it binds before you get to the extremes. I really cant see any reason why this wont work.
