I do love nitro.
Electric is just too much like a toy.
When something goes wrong on electric, you take it off and throw it away.
Then you plug in a new one.
Electric is as powerful and fast as you can afford it to be.
No skill needed.Only money.
A good computer helps too.lol...
Then just input some settings that are all over the internet.

The heli doesn't even need to be in the room to work on it.

I literally never use the word literally right.

As long as you've convinced yourself of that lol.
Those toys as you call them those electrics have maybe given me a tenth of your troubles if that, so you have great patience.

I flew strictly electric for years.
I know what they are.

I'm into mechanics more than programming.
The mess and oil and carburetors and pistons appeal to my tastes.

Talking down to me because you don't like to get dirty is not going to change my mind.
Those toys as you call them those electrics have maybe given me a tenth of your troubles if that, so you have great patience.
That translates to a tenth of the enjoyment to me.

Talking down to you?? Whoa there guy who is doing that?!

Easy now no one was talking down to you to start with, just observing your journey since entering Nitros nothing more no need to be sensitive.

Hope your luck improves!

There is definitely room for both electric and nitro though I prefer nitro. It's unfortunate that this engine ran lean but it happens. I like the piston. OS started puting those holes in the piston didn;t they? Not the big one to make ti not run, the little ones that help seal the ring.

My wife doesn't. I used to come home from the field wearing Eau du Nitro and she'd make me go straight to the shower. No love for the Rogman till he washed that nastiness off.

That's what I don't get.
What are you talking about?
I'm not having bad luck.I'm making mistakes.

I'm learning something new and loving it.
Electric was as easy as spending more money.
That got boring.

What's not to get?

Your luck= to perhaps learn better, make fewer mistakes... clear enough? It was observation nothing personal continue enjoying what you are doing.

I never repeat a mistake but I do make them.

The only mistake I ever made with electric is going cheap.
The day I decided to spend the money, the book was closed on the heli.
It was finished and good for a thousand flights or so.
There's no enjoyment in that for me.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Electric is easy because you don't need to spend more money.

You simply maximize your available free time with drama free flying.

No drama, no money wasted, no wrenching and cleaning in your spare time ( the only thing I clean is the bugs off the blades ).

Just fun.

If you don't enjoy flying you should consider getting into building plastic models.

Much cheaper friend.

Sorry about the motor mckrackin. So far electric's cost me way more $$ in a 1 month than my nitro's in about 4 year's total ..Been flying both for a bit now and so far so good. It's all about learning and as you can see, some can care less which is sad...

Some folks like building and are mechanically inclined to enjoy tinkering and fixing. I get no enjoyment from that whatsoever. I just like to fly with minimum of maintenance. I guess that's why I've migrated from nitro powered aircraft.

We used to build and race 1/12 scale warbirds at my field about 8 years ago. I didn't mind breaking an engine down and dremeling out exhaust and intake ports to try and get some more air through the engine. I was younger with more patience back then. I just don't feel like messing with it anymore. What's wrong with me?

You have become "Electrotarded" perhaps?

Myself, I almost enjoy the building/tinkering more than flying . . . you can't crash on the bench!

I enjoy flying but mainly as a test of the work.
It is my time and my money and in no way shape nor form anything that should even cross your mind.

Nitro is not for the lazy.
The drama you speak of is the challenge I love.

You enjoy your life while I enjoy mine.
How's that?

I literally never use the word literally right.
