The blue light doesn't go off on my radio after charging with the nimh?
Does anybody have the lipo in theirs and does the light also not go off?
If you have the lipo, do you charge it with the radio or an external ballance charger?

The light only goes off for lipo mode.

You use the same charger that came with your set to charge lipo's in the TX, the TX has its own charging system built into it. Be aware it can take several days to charge a lipo in your tx with the standard adapter/charger that comes with the set.

Good luck

Only if you remove the lipo completely from the set, don't try to charge it in the TX.

By the way the spektrum lipo has a bit of circuitry built into the battery to help stop overcharging, so it may not like being charged with a different charger. Other aftermaket lipo's should be ok though

Good luck

Im a bit confused here cause i have the NIMH battery in my DX 8 and the blue light goes of after chargeing.

If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!

When charging NiMH battery the blue light never went out for me. When I upgraded to the LiPo option it would go out when the charge cycle was complete.

Have you got the correct battery selected in the TX setup? Go and have a look in system settings menu, second screen.

IF you are set correctly you may have a charging problem with the set and I would contact Horizon for more advice.

The light should only go out for lipo mode, but If this has changed on software upgrades I am not aware of it.

Good luck

I went and checked there and i have NIMH battery selected. Its the DSMX system version 2.01 and the radio is brand new so unless something has been changed along the line that i dont know about either. The radio works fine and charges fine too. I will email horizon and see what they say.

I upgraded to the lipo, and the light now goes off, the battery meter also goes all the way up. I also have v-2.01.
Looks like the nimh was on the way out, it didnt hold a charge for long and the meter never went past about 3/4 full on the meter.
(It only lasted hours not days )

I will let mine go to flat in the near future and leave it on for a prolonged period and see if I get the same results.

Providing the charger terminates at the correct vothage for a fully charged pack it is no problem really. But it would be nice to get to the bottom of this one.

Good luck

That is EASY !
Simply ask Spektrum.
I've found it to work every time.
