#1.
i was flying my synergy like normal one weekend with no problems at all. then the next weekend *without touching the heli* i go to fly and theres a bad vibration that effects the gyro so much that it cant hold for crap. even at idle i can put my finger on the top of the gyro and feel how bad the vibe is. heres the kicker,
iv replaced the fan, starter shaft, and hub and it has helped but theres still a vibe that screws up the gyro like it has a wicked low gain. the only thing i have not replaced is the crankshaft, thats what i have narrowed the problems down to. (its a possibility the crank is bent) which brings the next question:

#2.
my engine: YS91ST
do any other versions (SR, 3DS, etc.) fit in the ST case?

thanks in advance, this has been annoying me for a while and id love to fly the dam thing lol

If it was right and now is not then I wouldn't suspect the crankshaft itself. Possibly a bad bearing somewhere.

But really sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Bad fuel line, filter or cluck line. Maybe something got caught inside the carb? Pump developed a leak? That's where I'd look first.

If a vibration wasnt there last weekend and is there more the next, first thing out try checking the sensor tape and mounting, and see if its not sticking as much as it should....

Is the vib lateral or vertical? High or low freq?

i have no idea on the axis, its a high freq since its affecting the gyro performance so much (to the point of the gain feeling like its 30 points too low)

The engine bearings took a dump. I've seen it a lot. It can happen in the space of a weekend.

How is the engine running? Does it still run smooth? Does that engine have a oneway pressure valve for the backplate fuel pressure line(not familliar with this engine)if so is it working properly? A rough engine can affect the tail.Starter shaft bearings can also cause vib problems. What vibrates skids, tail fins, canopy etc, or is it the whole heli.Just trying to give suggestions hope one of them might work out for you. Good luck.

the engine berrings are a little notchy and as for the location of the shakes, its up in front..anywhere forward of where the pinion and main gear mesh together.
