I haven't been paying much attention to the "latest and greatest" in the new camera market. I was looking at all the itty bitty cameras in Best Buy today to put on my Trex 450 for goofing off. Any advice?

gopro sd or hd 960. if you have more money than brains, get the gopro hd.

they can be mounted upside down and make it flip the video so it plays back right side up and has a built in intervalometer (take a pic every 2 sec).

only reason to get the gopro hd is if you want to do fpv since it is the only one with video out.

you can get an sd for about 100, 960 for 200, or hd for 300. craigslist is your friend.

That looks like a pretty fun camera. Is it seriously that smooth right out of the box. Slap it on your helmet and it delivers smooth video like that?

Thanks for the comparisons. I went with the gopro. Got a slightly used one on ebay for half the price. I was intrigued by the waterproof box. I want to try it in my Koi pond.

Anybody have an idea for a pint sized gyro to stabilize it a little on the Trex?

If your looking for small and cheap you can look at picking up a futaba gy190. They are small little rate gyros. Take the case off and they are about .75"x.75"x.2"

Hey Ethan,
How micro do you want? Here's supposedly the tiniest camcorder in the world. Purchase only if you're secured enough about your masculinity

haha, I don't think it has to be that small. You could put it on one of those indoor helis though.
