Still fairly new to electrics, I was wondering what the gains or losses between having a 510kv or the 530kv motor. I guess the higher kv more rpm, but will it bog easier with less torque. Any help would be great.

It’s all about flight time and power. Higher Kv has more power and less flight time. If you are learning 3D than more flight time is good.

If you do advanced 3D then higher Kv will give you faster maneuvers but are harder on batteries and have less flight time. You can also adjust the max blade pitch to help reduce battery abuse. It all depends on what you want to do.

For some reason Aligns ratings for these motors are the same. They will be very similar in power but the 510 will be more efficient. The 530 can obviously achieve higher headspeeds and needs to be governed, if your not going to run any higher than 2000rpm then your much better off with the 510kv. Running the 530kv below 2000 could cause the ESC to heat up too much.

60% of the time, it works every time!
