Hello,

I'm sure this must have been adressed before, but I'm helping a friend with his setup and noticed there's a bit of up-down play between the main gear and the tail drive gear on the auto unit. I'd like to know if this is normal, as there are no shims mentionned in the manual.

Thank you for any help you can provide,

Max

There is a new gear (black ones) I am not so sure they are out yet, but they are a tad bigger and made of a harder material for the high power electric helis.

If you want you can use a file or dremel and remove a couple mm of carbon from the frames to tighten the mesh.

The new gear you refer to is a helical gear for electrics only. There should be no need to alter the frames at all. The play he is referring to is up and down play in the auto unit. Alterig the frames will not take that away. The play is normal.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.
