It's easy now to see CY's plan; the 450 first before the 90. And the 50 will come about whenever no doubt.
I finally finished a new Rave 450 today after killing the last one. And yeah, practice building is a big factor, but man?!? Everytime I build a new one ( yes have dug more than one..). I learn appreciate the design and the absolute detail that makes the Rave just beautiful. Again, I must admit I'm a better builder from practice, but I have elected to stay flybarred for a while and every bearing washer, whatever has a purpose. And we know the ENV tail is exactly? the same as the 450 I think ( pls correct me on that if mistaken).
It was getting late, running out of light and I thought ' don't rush ' as I had not set up the tail and using a mini-G and could not find my G-View. I did it in 3 - 4 mins? And all I did first flight was adjust my expo a little. As for the gain, I didn't touch it and as I have not set up the gov yet, I would be hovering then go full tilt so the headspeed changes would have been huge and the Mini-G did not step out or ocilate once.
(And some people cannot decide between a plug and play beast and a Total-G with three Mini's in it?????). Any flybarless unit is only as good as the three Accelerometers to begin with and the Mini is proven.
I can't say the Rave is better than any other 450 as I have never owned another brand. But the Rave is the benchmark without question. It's the only way to build a Brand.
The picks? As you all know these things go quick !!!! So the white is fantastic for orientation and underneath is Fluro pink! Golden, try it!
So well done Curtis, Brian & Curtis Snr. I love this little thing and I know it will always out do my skills.
Thanks for all your hard work
