Does anybody know if any of the Vario 3 bladed rotor-heads are similar to the old Robbe ones?

Cheers,
C.

I've never seen one of the Robbe three blade heads to have anything to compare with. These days there are more multi-blade heads coming out, more three blade heads that are very sturdy and aerobatic capable.

But it seems that a lot of them are for a 12mm shaft, like the Goblin, TSA and Nick Maxwell heads.

One option (but probably expensive) might be the minicopter Triabolo head as it fits a 10mm shaft.

I think getting a three blade head is the easy part, the trickier part is probably going to be the swash. You may have to get someone to drill a Robbe inner swash. I did this to fit a three blade head onto a Beam Avantgarde. Fortunately a friend that runs a machine shop had it done with high accuracy, drilled and tapped a spare inner swash for three ball links.

This shop seems to have a bigger variety of multi-blade stuff: http://www.cnchelicopter.com/flybarless-rotorhead/

Trillian,

I've never seen one of Robbes multi heads either, in real life, unfortunately. It's for the easiness, that I'm searching specifically for the S2913 or S2914 + the driver.

Anyways, as far as the 10 mm main shaft goes, Vario Helicopter produces those, and I'd probably be happy to use one of those, if only I knew more about, how and what is required to make those work on the Robbes - Cuatros in my case. I'll get more into it soon enough, my guts feeling is that a setup with Vario heads would be best, as they have serval multi heads for 10 mm..

link for Vario 3 bladed head, 10 mm; http://www.vario-helicopter.biz/uk/...mm::100844.html

The swash on the Cuatro heads' already come with arrangements for multi blades, whether this in effect can be used with other that Robbes heads, is what I need to find out..

Thanks for your inputs mate.

Cheers,
C.
