This is the third tank on the new ring.
Does it sound OK?

The new head is smooth.
I had my FB head rigged for FBL.
The new FBL head cut the pitch from 12 degrees to 7 and cyclic from 8 degrees to 3.

I re-did the set up to get +/-12 and +/-12.
Way better resolution now.

Set it to stock setting's and run 6-7 tank's through it for break in.Each break in tank,lean the high needle in 1 click at a time.Take it easy while breaking it in.You can sport fly and do easy 3D but don't load the crap out of it.After the 7th tank,tune for performance

What is the stock setting?
It's a little Hyper 50.

I started at 2 turns out and it just wouldn't run.It died every time I tried to spool up.
I have it at 1.5 tuns out now and it's dripping from the exhaust and the backplate isn't even as warm as my finger.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Set the high needle to about 1 3/4 turn's open from fully closed.It will wanna stall but you need to pump the throttle a little to get the motor rpm's going.As soon as it starts,blip the throttle a few time's to keep clearing the motor out.Right around 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 will be your running setting's once the motor is broke in.I replaced everything trying to track down a tail wag issue,even the sleeve and ring (Already had the motor out) so im breaking my motor in right now.Fast forward to 1:40 and you'll see what im talking about.

BTW,
At 1 3/4 turn's out,you will be around 1 1/2 or a little under 1 1/2 after the 7th tank.

I'm scared to try any tic tocs or any inverted until it's running like it should.

The Hyper 50 barely has enough power when it's fully run in.lol....

What I would do if I was you is this.Set the needle to 1 3/4 and keep the motor running like I did.Remember to lean the needle 1 click right when you land for 7 tanks so 1 click per tank.1st tank just do some basic forward flight.2nd,3rd and 4th tank do forward flight but do some wide enough turn's to load the motor.5th and 6th tank,do some big loop's to load it a little more.7th tank do what you want but don't do anything really hard.By the time you tune for power after the 7th tank,beat the crap out of it.The motor isn't getting warm because your not loading it,you need to load it so the motor warm's up and seats the ring/sleeve.If you don't have the room for wide turn's,do a bunch of easy punch out's for the 2nd,3rd and 4th tank.5th and 6th tank,do a bunch of fast one's but don't jam the stick.Fly it (do whatever you want) on the 7th tank then start tunning for power..You can run a 1950 rpm headspeed in idleup after the 1st tank and even do roll's/flip's to load the motor..
If you do the punch out option,don't let off the stick fast unless your good at auto's so run it in idleup so you don't have to worry about it dying..
