Best rudder servo imo is Jr mp80g.

But then a bls251 will allow you to use the 560hz refresh rate on the gy520.

I was thinking the Bls 251, but wanted to make sure there wasn't anything new out that was better.

JR DS8900
Really????? I guess if you don't mind changing it every dozen flights...
I had no good luck with 8900 lasting under the mildest of applications. (4.8V, and mild gains with an 7703D)

BLS251. The best bar none.

I've been flying the 8900 in my Rave since I built it, and had no problems...it performs flawlessly . But I have nothing against the 251 either, both are superb servo choices!

8900G is great, but the BLS251 is better. I now run the Futaba

I switched from 8900's to bls251's. Much better.

+1 for the BLS251. Normally I'd say the JR 8900G, but the 251 is very impressive so far.

I have run a number of 8900, as well as BLS 251.
Had some BLS 251 problems, and repleced them with Outrage Torq 9188, no problems so far.

Fly with scheduled ground contact !

Kingjoe,

I know what you mean. My very first experience with the BLS251 didn't go so well. After questioning my setup skills and my electronic equipment, it turned out that I got a brand new bad servo right out of the box. Replaced it with another 251 and all is well now. Maybe you had a similar situation. I never did send that 251 in for warranty repair. I don't know how Futaba is about fixing stuff fast especially being here in Japan.

Outrage Torq 9188
Outrage Torq 9088

I also used the BLS251 no problems but I dont like regs. 4.8v yuck

I pefer the Outrage Torq: 1)never had any problems 2)can handle 8V (I use LiFe 6.6) 3)at 6V the speed is .045 and olny get faster as you increase voltage to max 8V

GOT FBL?
