Further research would have revealed that Align electronics are sub par. Don't put anything with the 'Align' warning label on your heli and the hobby will become that much enjoyable for you.

Someone eluded it to being "their fault". That's exactly what they want you think. End-user problem - sure. Their electronics are marginal and won't allow for small mistakes that beginnners are prone to make.

I'm not totally dogging Align. They've brought a lot of new people into the hobby. I'm sure they're equally responsible for the frustration that made many people leave, too.

And to the OP: I feel your pain. There's no feeling of helplessness greater than watching your heli pile in.

Hey I have an idea; Let's turn this into a 'bash the people that bash Align thread'. With such poor gramatical skills, my opinion means that much less - thanks. I can post pics of the charred remains of Align electronics if you think that would hold more water.

Ditch the garbage and never look back.

When I was first learning to set up a FBL system, I had an experienced guy help me because I'd heard horror stories like this one or worse. One of the main things he told me which applies to any FBL unit is "check, re-check and then triple check everything", esp. the way the sensor moves the swash when the heli it tilted. That's probably the most commonly over looked thing. Since then I've set up several different brands of units, and try to always use the same rule..."check, re-check and then triple check everything" and it always work great!
