Just remembered, can't use this tail servo because you can't change the pluse rate in the GY401 ..

What is the pulse rate on the Turnigy servos?

PM me if you want.

I suggest a Savox 1290 on the tail.
I like mine on a Trex 700 and Trex 600.

My next heli will try those Turnigy brushless servos.

I literally never use the word literally right.

760.

Even the servos rated for 6v it is a bad idea running them on 6v (even regulated) with a tail gyro, they will get hot and fail much sooner than running them on 5v.

I would also avoid high torque servos even if they are fast, they are fast from A to B but don't like going from A to B to A to B to A etc. fast like a tail servo would do in flight.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Good enough for basic flying and hovering

Go back only 5-6 years or so and you will find the old inexpensive
Futaba S-148 (called a precision servo) joined to a GY401 used in non DS mode worked fine for many pilots. Still a nice used 9253 is a just right combination on a Rappy 50.

Specs & price make this good choice also. In fact perfect for all around use, cyclics, throttle, tail.
