Im interested in purchasing s 700e that has custom heli parts conversion,anyone know the pros and cons on conversions vs stock 700e?

Generally speaking the main issue is that you are using third party conversion parts as core parts to your build. If at some point you need to get replacements for the conversion parts (for what ever reason) and they are not available you have a non-functioning heli.

For me parts availability is everything.

That said the deal might just be too good or the conversion parts maybe in good supply?

Most people including myself had a conversion 700. And parted them out for the real thing.

I'm still working on getting the real thing.

Theres alot of parts that dont interchange with the real "e" -- if you dont have one already-- get the E not the conversion.

Papa, I have researched this extensively and by the time we pay for a overpriced used 700 air frame and then buy what we need the price is higher than if we buy the 3g super combo from ebay. I enjoy thinking outside the box and have been considering the 800 alternative in which I believe would be a lot more fun to build.

I love my converted T-REX 700E with the Ray Nemovi conversion.

I think the E converted T-REX 700N presents better in the air than the native Align kit(trivial, yes I know). Also, having flown a number of native T-REX 700E's, I have yet to feel compelled to replace my conversion with one. Ray is first class about parts support(full replacement warranty on all plastic parts), though, there really aren't many parts in the conversion that are prone to breaking anyways.

The Neu 1915H/1.5Y also runs BEAUTIFULLY with a CC 85HV which can be had cheap.
