Dear Sir or Madam,
During our constant quality monitoring procedures we have determined that a malfunction may occur when using the HC3-SX helicopter stabilisation system.
During extended steady manoeuvres it is possible under unfavourable circumstances for the “virtual horizon” of the HC3-SX to shift. This can result in a possible malfunction of the “Acro with collective pitch” option, and inaccuracy in horizontal stabilisation (self-levelling). We therefore request that you do not use the “Acro with collective pitch” option until you hear from us again.
there saying self-leveling is having prob's to ?

Hello

I am putting one on my Joker 3DD for this weekend.

A video will be made.

I have flown this system before...there are no issues that I have found with the std self level feature. It works...its worked since the original helicommand systems came out.

Overall I like the way the system flys...especially the tail.

I will grab the setup cable today and should have it ready for a test hop tonight...just hate testing a 90 sized heli at night but it will drive me crazy to not have it setup correctly.

Please give us the play-by-play on the setup and tune. Not much detailed info out there on this system, and my previous FBL experience was brief, 9+ months ago, and limited to my FS-600. I would very much appreciate it.

Hoping to get mine to the field myself for the first time Sat.

First Tip: Make sure you set the elevator to 1 before you fly the heli... I had to do this to all of the helis I setup so far.

Other than setting my throw limits and the elevator filter the rest of the params are stock.

Not sure what you mean by set elevator to 1? Everything moves correctly and I have my head and tail gains on volume knobs for now. Wasn't clear how to disable the gyro at first for final mechanical adjustments and pitch checks, but then I realized I simply needed to turn the gains down to zero.

What limit values did you end up with and at what degree of pitch for collective and cyclic? I think I was at around 75 with 10mm arms on the servos. Out of town this week and can't check...

I also split my power into three inputs - 2 to the HC and one to the S-Bus RX.

I start with the Elevator filter set to 1. The default when choosing the "Acro" pre-set is 0 which results in a pretty good elevator bobble on most machines.

My pitch range is set to 75.

You don't need to disable anything. Just go to the trim tab and it will freeze all your servos and you adjust those so that all your servos are centered... You can also adjust your tail rotor pitch and blade pitch after you get all your arms centered.

OK thanks I'll double-check that elevator filter setting. I don't remember noticing it.

I was aware that servos were centered connected with USB and in the trim tab, but I wanted to be able to make some final mechanical adjustments away from the PC and without stabilization active. Zero gain worked.
