I am looking for the latest milti lipo chargers. I am wanting to charge 11.1v 2200 lipos for a trex 450 size helicopter 2 or 3 at a time.
What is a good charger on the market for this purpose?

Thanks in advance for your help and advise.

I'm doing a little research on this one:

Anybody has any first-hand experience? I believe it is what the doctor ordered....

Eh.. 50 watts per channel is ok unless you're getting into bigger batteries.

I will use that charger to charge my LiIon, NiCd, and NiMh flight packs and my radios. For bigger batteries, I have a Triton 2, and above that I do not expect to get into electrics anytime soon.

Am I missing something? Is the 306B capable of charging MULTIPLE packs at a time? Because the subject of this thread is to charge MULTIPLE packs at a time. I cannot see that on the specs of this charger. When I can buy a charger with 4 parallel charging ports for $150 i have a hard time calling $190 affordable.

Rafael, have you heard about parallel charging? If you haven't, then you are missing something indeed.

Ok, need the pros here. I'm in the same boat, which charger is the charger of choice between these. Icharger 306B or the voltz 101K or the TP820CD. Now if I can just learn which is the best I can buy it. I am tring to charge 4000mah 6 cells, and doing two at a time is nice. By the way can you do a 3600 and a 5000 at the same time or do they have to be like rated.

There is no "best" charger. The "best" charger means different things to different people.

I really like my PL8 chargers and find them the "best" for my requirements, however your mileage may vary.

I am using the Maxpro X3 Quint which can charge and balance up to 5 * 3S lipos at 1 or 2 or 3 Amps.
Very easy to use and efficient in charging.

Great help If you had provided a link or explanation would have been much more helpful. But since that is NOT what I'm looking for, neither what the OP is looking for, you can save some time.

You can still save your time, I know what a paralell connection is, and I'm not interested in doing that to my batteries. I would never consider doing that to a lipo, which I believe is what the OP wants to do.

Someone in this thread mentioned the iCharger 306B and you asked how could that charger charge multiple batteries at a time. And I answered you: by doing parallel charging. So why this defensive attitude?

The OP asked what charger would be good for charging 2 or 3 batteries at a time. As such, parallel charging is a possibility. If one is willing to consider it or not, that's an entirely different matter.

Also, I am not sure how you could possibly know that the OP didn't want to do parallel charging, since he never mentioned that. He asked for opinions. It is up to him to inform himself before taking action or ask for help if uncertain, but he first needs to know about options.

As for me providing a link or explanation for parallel charging, I consider Google in 2011 much more helpful with that.

Lastly, this thread is not about you. It is about answering the OP's question. Please respect that.

Neither did I infer that was the case. I simply mentioned that I would not do it to my batteries.

You need to slow down and read. You wasted your time. I do know how to use Google and I do know what a paralell conncetion is, But you did not read the entire post. I was marely tryng to move the post along, but it seems you belong to the "do a search" gang.

I am not sure who is disrecpecting who, and sincerely I do not care. The entire thread is about charging multiple battery packs at the same time. I provided my opinion and you are providing yours. What is the problem? How do you know what my attitude is? Can you see the expression in my face? You may need to chill too, if that is what you are asking me.

This is exactly what your problem is: you don't care, yet you are so defensive. I don't need to see the expression on your face to tell that. Welcome to my ignore list.

So is parallel charging bad for the batteries and if that is the case what charger can charge multi packs at the same time without parallel charging. Will the voltz 101K or the thunder Power TP820cd do that ?

It seems like barzaun has a really thin skin. If anybody has any suggestions about charging multiple batteries without parallel charging please post it here. And of course, if you have experience with the Hitec X4 please let me know.
