I am going to get few good audio books this year for the trip. I hear you get so into it that you get pissed every time you have to make pit stop to get gas as that comes up much quicker when listening to a book rather than songs.

Yeah good point..Gas is all jacked up sky High, don't know if it's any diff then last year at that time. But with paying for the Trip who still has any cash to spend. About how much does someone spend at this event under those tents.

If it were less then 20 hours I'd drive, but unfourtenetly it would be about 40 hours or more to drive for me. 12 hours as you mention, that's a cake walk, I'd drive it without question.

Hopefully by the time we all need to drive to IRCHA. Gas isn't any Higher than it is now. That will cut into my Parts spending money!

I drive my RV to IRCHA and with gas prices the way they are it costs me a good $500 just in gas... makes me think about skipping IRCHA this year.

I spent around 2K just for airline ticket and hotel and food. I bought only a few shirts really nothing else and didn't booze it up. For you fellas spending under a grand I'd say the event is more then worth it for sure, that would be cheap!

No hotel needed,a tent and the onsite showers and IRCHA can be done on the cheap. Gas is gas, it always cost a fortune. I drive twelve hours, it's a breeze.

+1

I think camping is going to be the cheapest way to go. Save the Hotel cost and spend that on Heli parts. I would like to rent an RV that would be sweet until you add cost of fuel in, then that might change my mind. Looks like a pop up pulling behind the Commander 19mpg but don't know how much of that will drop pulling behind a pop up.
