The battery on the bottom is something seen in older electric heli's.Once there was a better understanding of heli's layouts,it was found that a higher c of g was the way to go for quick roll and flip rate[quote]

if you are going to crash nose down then you got a problem with
the pack on the bottom tray.
this is my finding. The helicopter is not perfectly balance with the battery sit on the battery mount and the pack is much safer there
on the bottom the heli is balance but the pack is not safe,
if you got a canopy you are a little ok'
i don't use canopy as i only crash only once or twice a month,
