I'm pretty sure it's in the 11 pound range on Bobby's model. We weighed it in Huntsville and I don't remember the exact number. When I see him/model next week here in Muncie I will weigh it again with and without batteries.

If I can get an aurora in a 2010 mustang with the top up then you should be able to fit this in whatever you drive lol. All I know is after seeing them at Helis over delaware it looks like my aurora will have a brother soon.

Art,
When are you getting here to Muncie? Would like to get about 1/2 a flight in on your Nitro Whiplash before things get too crazy.

Did anyone get a weigh in on this machine? Saw it up close and seen it fly. Only thing I felt is it needed a much larger motor was all Otherwise it was an interesting heli.

@OICU812
Are you refering to the N or E version of the Whiplash. I saw Bobby fly the E version with a Scorpion 4525-520 and it was more than enough power. Just shy of tearing up a main gear of mishandled.

Would tend to agree with eddiscus here. Plenty of power in demos.

Don't forget that the Scorpion 4525-520 is limited edition and, according to the manufacturer, it produces 20% more torque than the regular 4035s.

Yes I know this motor I have a few of them. perhaps I'm getting sOmething mixed up as I could have sworn the one raffled had a 4035-500kv which Bobby said was same as his ....?
And well as u know that's entirely diff motor for sure

Hmm now I'm wondering lol..

I weighed Bobby's e Whiplash and am horrible with remembering. I guess I should start writing things down. It was like 11.4 lbs WITH batteries. Literature shows it as 7.5-8lbs LESS batteries. Really guys, for those of you who have seen it (or most any other electrics) in person, it sure doesn't look like these models are wanting for more power. Plenty of power to go around so why is weight such an issue? My Furion 6 is 9.1 lbs. WITH batteries and I couldn't imagine it with more power (from being lighter). It's crazy already.

From what I have heard he also has run the 4035 as well. Like most of us he is always trying out something new.

I think they should make it a permanent offering. Otherwise they may lose sales to KDE's latest release.
