check your governor gain. lower it to something ridiculously low, and see if it goes away. I recently had a noise problem that sounded like a belt or bearing noise, and the gov gain fixed it, i had it a bit too high.

Upon further inspection following the flights yesterday. I see the main gear getting worn on the bottom angle after only three flights. The shims have pushed it down and the pinion is wearing on it. I finally got the set screw backed out (dang red Loc tite) and will reset the main gear. I also backed the gain down on the CC 85HV from high to medium so I am expecting to give you guys a good report tomorrow.

My theory is that the main gear is no longer rubbing the frame, hence not as loud, but is now rubbing the pinion badly on the bottom, hence there still is some sound when I load it. Higher gain may also be adding to it so it is lowered as well.

I think you found your problem (or at least an issue) here:
Also, I have to heat the pinion to loosen up the set screw and will try to re seat the pinion/gear as I'm wondering if adding shims may have altered the mesh some.
Once you have the correct spacing with washers, readjust the pinion mesh.

Resetting mesh and will fly this afternoon. My LHS moved so I'm going to try to make a run by the new place at lunch. I hope they have all their stock up or it may not happen today if I can't find a 3mm set screw. I don't want to put the old one back in as it is stripped slightly.

Ok re-set the mesh and still chirps at me. It also seems to have a slight wobble at spool up and figured it may be the Edge blades being not balanced, but the wobble, (well it presents as vibration) is there even without blades. I've never had this problem with my new Align helis so am at a loss for problem shooting Logos

It's brand new. The head doesn't wobble around on spool up or down but I could feel subtle vibration increase at about 1/4 throttle that seemed to go away at about 1/2 throttle both with and without blades. I'll check the vbar this week and see what my vibration readings are.

Ok vbar readings are elevated. I have the sensor pressed up against the wall though so it may be getting bad reads. I'm about to back it away from the wall and re-seat it. Hopefully that's all it is. Still chirping at me at high head speeds but not low head speeds. I think it's a gain issue as stated before. Actually got a decent flight today. The Logo actually flies pretty darn good.
