Progress is flying on my MD500E. The only thing left is the head. I thought I would come here to get some great advice as always. Money is tight right now. I can't afford five scale blades. I do have six full size fiberglass blades coming.

So should I?
1. Put a FBL head on and call it a day
2. Get a four bladed head and use the full size blades
3. Get a five blade head and use the full size blades

Have fun while it last!

Get a five blade head and use the full size blades if they don't run into the tail blades, even though most guys use 550mm blades with a multi head.

This is a five blade helicopter. If anything do not put on a four blade head. I have double cats head and it was by far the cheapest option.

If I understood you correctly you have 6 blades en route. So all you need is to get the 5 blade head (in US go through RC Aerodyne, they have DC heads for the same price as shipped directly) and you're set.

Spinblades are nice but once the rotor is spinning... you can't really tell the difference...

Yes my problem now is power! I got myself a older Align 600L motor, but even with my 188t main it will be spinning the blades at 1900 rpm with a slanted 5mm 11t pinion. Now I am needing to find a 600 motor spinning around 720-1100KV.

I know I can run the motor I have down to 65% but that is going to kill my speed control and packs.

After looking everywhere I found what I think to be the best spot light I could. I got a few of them just in case. Plus it's bright as Hell.

Swap-n-shop big items for sale
Dear KC Heli Friends,

Thought I would give you guys a heads-up on the big items I will have for sale at the swap-n-shop this Saturday.

Align TRex 700E V2 BNF - $800 OBO
This is the Super Combo kit except that I have replaced the Align 3GX FBL unit by a Spektrum AR7200BX. I also have the KDE motor shaft counter bearing upgrade. I am the first owner and never crashed this heli. It actually did fly that much as I was too scared to fly it for a while

Align TRex 700 Helibug Conversion Gasser - $600 OBO
Perfect condition airframe with DFC head, BH Hanson 260RC motor, brand new canopy with RC Booya mounts, Mavrik 700mm blades.
If you prefer it with flybar, I have a brand new TRex 700 flybar head I can substitute.

Spektrum DX8 - $200 OBO
I am the first owner. The remote comes in the original box with user manual, strap and AC adapter. It is in very good shape and fully functional despite two minor cosmetic points I need to mention (I have used the remote as is for almost 2 years without a single issue):
- I had to replace the antenna pins by two screws after the pins broke on a windy day.
- the Flight Mode 3-position switch is slightly pushed in.

I will also have the following other items all in very good shape:
- 1 Scorpion Commander 160HV Opto ESC - $250
- 1 NIB Align 800MX 520kV motor - $200
- 3 JR 8717 Cyclic servos - $200
- 1 Mikado full size sat ready black V-Bar w/ Pro SW - $150
- 3 Align DS615 cyclic servo (15 flights) - $120
- 1 Align DS655 tail servo (15 flights) - $40
- 1 Align DS650 tail servo - $40
- 1 Align DS620 servo - $40
- 1 Align DS610 servo - $40
- 1 NIP Castle Creations BEC Pro 20A - $30
And many other items including some freebies.

Please PM me if any of these is of interest to you.

Team Mikado, Team Revolectrix, KBDD Team Pilot

Got my temp or for this year head in for the 600 MD500. I am really impressed with the quality and bearings. It's a CopterX 600e pro FBL head. The swash is incredible. All this for $61. Only thing other than the weather keeping it out of the air is I have to order some Align 600e FL main shafts.

Really nice the flapping hinge unit. You know I ordered one of those the week they came out for $139 for the 450 and three months after, I canceled the order. I was relieved that they refunded me the money instead of giving me credit like most of the foreign companies were doing at the time.

Lets see if Greg got his park pass? We both said we would Saturday.
I wussed out of taking the airwolf apart. I needed to reprogram it to the FG8. I also needed to install the Helioption control arm to get rid of the anti-rotation bar as well as replace a cracked link for the landing gear. Well I found I could access the Futaba bind button from the exhaust port and said screw the rest

There is a new K-bar out that lets you mount it sideways. Unlike the Vbar. It has a extra light and a three way pot. The blinking of the light tells you what orientation it is. At that point you program that same with the Vbar software.
