Still tweaking the V-Bar governor, spool-up needs work. Still, performance is promising.

Is that gear chatter/hunting due to the gain or is it just the audio?

My guess that's a Castle? (that's the sound I describe as Stuttering, which you get with some motors due to the Castle's built in delay in throttle response)

Yep it is a Castle and I gotta say it performs EXTREMELY well. Once the spool up this is resolved, it will be a complete winner. Al had a grin from ear to ear every time he landed

I think spoolup is cause and effect, the stuttering comes from two things; Motor timing being slightly off, and delay on throttle channel in response to changes.

The Timing part is important, because that is also what causing a harsh spoolup, that initial kick which need to be soft, even at "motor start power set to 1", if the timing is a bit off, that will render in quite a kick regardless.

So first thing I would try to get it better (both things) is to test different timing for the motor.

Well, that's my view so far, by the little tests I've done.
(plus I know for a fact that at least some of the ESC's built in softstart is actually done by them temporary lowering the timing)

Nice flying Al, looks like you are fairly comfortable with it at this point!

Thanks guys, it was definitely chattering a good bit in the video.

Just went over the machine and found that one of my front tail pulley shaft bearings was bad, causing some significant shaft movement and gear mesh issues. Can't say that this was the cause of the chatter, but it certainly doesn't help. Going to keep on flying and tweaking the setup.

Excellent flight, Al. I convinced you are a robot.

I too am having a quiver in my motor only during fast hard loops and full collective rainbows while using the gov setting out of the box
(Castle HV80, airplaine mode, throttle response set to high,8).

Other than that this gov really has the edge on performance, and knowing Ulrich thus far it is only going to get better. Thanks, Uli!

MrMel logged tests, mind you with HW escs and a few others but was +/- 25rpm in his FDR tests.

I'm curious about the castle. I don't think it was 25.
