Yes I had that issue. I found my fan was 4 thousands out of round but that my hub was under a thousandth out of round. I replaced the fan and that has helped.

Before you replace the fan hoping it will fix it, i'd recommend balancing it. I balance my fan/hub assembly using a high point balancer for every model and it makes a big difference. It seems like most 3d guys don't bother balancing stuff anymore, but its definitely worth the time it takes to do it.

Give that a try and let us know if it helps.

Had this too and also noticed it wobble a little doing aileron tick tocks and put some hard foam on either side of the inside of the canopy right by the cyclic servos and the issue is gone. The canopy is largely unsupported at this point and any small vibration or rapid change in the direction of the air flow over the canopy can set it off. Padding it eliminates any shakes or wobbles whether you are hovering or hard '3d'ing

Yeah I balanced the fan hub , got it spot on and this still makes no difference ,well the foam trick on the cyclic servos might be the go!

yeah put some firm foam/rubber on either side of the cyclic servos and all good! very happy now. canopy is not really supported in this area really well and should be addressed, funny thing is the heli is vibration free and this happened.

thanks for all the input.

cheers

You should PM Brian at MinAirUSA. This is not a very common issue. Something is out of balance somewhere. I have flown a few differenty guys 55's and my own and have not seen anything at all to what you are describing.

But if there was a vibe wouldn't the fuel in the tank be foaming and tail fin be shaking, because everything is dead still through all flight modes , no gyro drifting either, I just think the canopy is not very well supported, look at an align heli it has rubber supports. I'm surely there is heaps others out there that have this issue.

Only other possibility could be the main shaft been undersize!

Not all shakes make the tank foam or tail shake or landing gear shake. Depends on where the balance issues is. I have seen models shake like crazy and fuel dead still and seen them with no obvious shakes and foam boiling.

A canopy shaking is usally something in the head out of balance. I would check to make sure you have all the head axle shims in place(IE the same amount on each side) and make sure the blades are balanced properly. Fuel foaming a genrally a engine vibe or a tail hub vibration.
