I sold a Beastx ver. 2 unit of mine, never had any issues with it.

The buyer installed into a Trex 700, had some help from other friends on set-up. He told me that after the beastx is initialized, he gets the blue light. Then after 10 seconds the swashplate rolls full right cyclic. He can return it back to center with AIL. input, then the swashplate will travel full left, then he can re-center it with AIL input. This only happens with the Aileron, all other cyclics work fine.

I asked him to confirm that there are is no subtrim or transmitter trims causing this behavior.

I told him to go over the entire programming, which he did. Still can't correct this AIL. input after initialization. I've set-up 5 of these units for friends, never had an issue.

Has anyone else see this issue?

I told him to send it back to me, so I can confirm this issue, before I send it in for warranty.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Brian Rasmussen

Brian,

Post this over @ Helifreak if you did not already. There is a dedicated BeastX forum.

If he uses a Spectrum Radio, then he should rebind the reciever then reset the beast to factory default and programm again. That should do the trick.

Thanks guys,

I just emailed him again, he said he set it up 6 times, I can't imagine how he could goof it up. He said he would try again. I will send him a link to this thread. I also made sure that his radio wasn't in 120 CCPM.

Thanks,
Brian

Failsafe settings have to be off in the Transmitter. Make sure that there are no trims or subtrimms activated during rebinding. If you really want to be sure open a new model menu and start over again, no mixers active no ccpm no failsafe, rebind, it has to work.

has he tried moving the servos to a different position to see if the problem follows the servo to a new location? I have had problems with the beast X and the connectors on the servos. Not to that degree of course but just wanted to put out the thought to you.

I received the Beastx today. I was able to set it up perfectly. Not sure where the buyer went wrong in set-up. At least I was able to set-up his Beastx on my Trex700, same heli as his, same servos. I highlighted all the parameters that I set up in his manual. There's a lot of info in the Beastx manual, one has to go through it carefully, to understand it all. Hopefully he will be able to get it working!

Thanks for the help,

Try a new model memory in the transmitter. Sometimes you can get a bad one that does strange things!! I sold a unit and the guy came over and we couldn't get it to work on his transmitter and that's exactly what it was.

I had a similar problem with a 720 skookum and it turned out to be a mix in the radio that I wasn't aware was turned on!!
